There is a Full Charge Bookkeeper position being filled by Robert Half that might suit your needs. The long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Louisville, Kentucky. If you're comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.
What you get to do every day
Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed
Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing
Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement Requirements - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Expertise in NetSuite
Basic Bookkeeping experience desired
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
2+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
- Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Background in payroll preferred
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
