Robert Half Logistics Coordinator in Louisville, Kentucky
Description We are looking to bring a Logistics Coordinator into our team based in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. The role is in the Wholesale Distribution industry and involves the coordination of various logistical operations, customer interactions, and supplier communications. Additionally, it requires the utilization of specific software and the development of new skills related to logistics and customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinating with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth order processing.
• Handling daily order preparations and ensuring timely fulfillment.
• Issuing purchase orders and other shipping-related documents to suppliers.
• Preparing necessary shipping documents like Bill of Lading, Packing Lists, and TTB Transfers.
• Assisting the facility team with document preparation and communication tasks when required.
• Coordinating various modes of transportation such as LTL, FTL, Rail, Bulk Tankers, ISO-Tanks, LCL, and FCL.
• Working closely with the operations team to optimize shipping processes.
• Developing new skills related to alcohol logistics, market dynamics, and customer service.
• Using ERP systems or other order processing programs for efficient operation. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a logistics coordination role or similar within the Wholesale Distribution industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with the preparation and management of Purchase Orders
• Knowledge of Shipping documentation and related legal requirements
• Experience with Shipping Functions, including coordinating domestic and international shipments
• Ability to manage Shipping & Receiving processes effectively
• Experience in handling Receiving Documents and ensuring their accuracy and completeness
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
