Description
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team.
As a Payroll Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage our payroll system and ensure that each employee is paid accurately and on time. You will also be expected to handle tax-related tasks and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Excel, and a passion for career progression. The ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data, specifically with Excel’s pivot tables and V lookup function, is a prerequisite for this role. Responsibilities:
Prepare regular payroll reports as needed for management.
Complete quarterly and annual payroll reports.
Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.
Oversee and manage payroll tax requirements.
Update general ledger and payroll files.
Process timesheets and expense reports.
Continually improve the payroll process to increase efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field desired.
Proven experience in payroll or general accounting.
Excellent knowledge in Excel, with experience in pivot tables and V lookups.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desire to progress into a senior role.
