As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Month end closings experience desired
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Journal entries experience required
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
