Description

We are in search of a diligent and professional Sr. Accountant to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role is pivotal in our company’s financial operations, primarily focusing on general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. You will also be expected to utilize your skills in software like Microsoft Excel to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake a four-year degree in accounting, supplemented with 3-5 years of public accounting or similar experience.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial functions, with a strong preference for proficiency in SQL.

• Exhibit proficiency in QuickBooks and demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of accounting systems.

• Maintain constant communication with management about current workflow and timeframes for all deliverables.

• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities regarding decision making and problem-solving.

• Showcase the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Uphold the highest level of character, positive attitude, and integrity.

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Maintain the month-end close process accurately and efficiently.

• Exhibit experience with financial/investing companies as a plus.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite

• Demonstrable skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Expertise in maintaining General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
