Description If you're looking to take your career into the Financial Services industry, there is a terrific permanent position available for an experienced Staff Accountant at Robert Half. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Louisville, Kentucky area, at a company where effort is rewarded.
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested Requirements - Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Efficient in ERP systems
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Command of Communicator
Comprehensive knowledge of Detailed Business Requirements
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
