We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. The role primarily revolves around managing company finances, handling accounts payable and receivable, and performing account reconciliations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a strong understanding of accounting principles and are proficient in Microsoft-based systems. This direct-hire position is with a growing company and would provide advancement/development opportunities!

Responsibilities:

• Handling accounts payable duties, including processing a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis.

• Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Managing accounts receivable, including posting to the appropriate account.

• Performing multi-state payroll duties.

• Creating and maintaining journal entries as part of the general ledger.

• Assisting in the month-end close process, particularly for accounts receivable.

• Overseeing B2B collections to ensure timely payments.

• Managing invoicing for inventory, including matching with purchase orders.

• Coding and entering expenses accurately and timely.

• Providing support using various skills such as QuickBooks, Concur Expense, Paychex, and Paychex Payroll.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.

• The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• The applicant should have experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger operations.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• The candidate would be team player and enjoy collaborating with internal and external teams.
