Robert Half Staff Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. You will be entrusted with executing and coordinating accounting procedures, analyzing financial information and managing tax compliance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Review and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

  • Regulatory reporting and tax filings.

  • Verification, allocation, and reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Cash flow management and forecasting.

  • Ensuring the company's financial compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Participating in the budget preparation.

  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions.

  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, adjustments, and financial analysis.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of three years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with creating financial statements.

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

  • Prior experience with Financial Reporting, Cash Flow Management, and Tax Compliance is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
