We want to full-time someone who can be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure for this Systems Engineer position. Your responsibilities

• Team up with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

• Maintain, install, configure, and test system management tools, application software, and operating systems

• Sustain backup, redundancy strategies, and security

• Establish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

• Record and keep custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

• Take part in the design of information and operational support systems

• Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support

• Oversee and follow up on all installed systems and infrastructure

• Oversee and review application performance for potential bottlenecks, define possible solutions, and join forces with developers to realize those fixes Requirements - This position requires a candidate with experience with monitoring systems

• 7+ years of relevant experience - This position requires a candidate with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems

  • You might be a good fit for this position if you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks

  • Experience with automation software is required for success at this position

  • This position requires a candidate with solid scripting skills

• Earlier work involving SANs (Storage Area Networks)

• Previous experience working with Linux System Administration

• Vmware Technologies experience preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of Network Troubleshooting

• Prior experience with Vmware Infrastructure

• iSCSI experience highly preferred

• Practical knowledge of Graylog

• General familiarity with Packet Analysis

• Demonstrated knowledge of Wireless

• Solid understanding of Aruba

• Aruba experience

• Enterprise Linux experience highly valued

• HP experience

• Comprehension of Active Directory

• Strong familiarity with Aruba Wireless

• Knowledge of Windows PowerShell

• General familiarity with Nagios

• Practical knowledge of Packet Captures

• Background working with iSCSI

• Adeptness in Microsoft SharePoint

• Strong familiarity with PowerShell

• Good understanding of Linux

• PowerShell Scripting experience desired

• VPN Technologies experience highly desired

• Experience with Microsoft Windows

• Hands-on experience with VMware

• FortiGate experience preferred

• Adeptness in NextGen

• Foundational knowledge in VPNs (virtual private networks)

  • You'll be a good fit for this position if you have solid networking knowledge
