Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Louisville, Kentucky
Description We are seeking a Tax Manager - Public to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of tax returns, reviewing work completed by interns and tax staff, responding to tax notices, and fostering collaboration with staff, clients, and management.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare various types of tax returns including corporate, S-Corp, partnerships, multi-state and consolidated returns, individual, 990s, and trusts.
• Review work completed by interns and tax staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices and draft appropriate responses.
• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with staff, clients, and management.
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the preparation of tax returns.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to interns and tax staff to promote professional development.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve customer inquiries.
• Manage multiple engagements while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public tax management role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Skilled in using CaseWare
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
• Strong grasp of Accounting Functions
• Experience in preparing Annual Income Tax Provision
• Previous experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Compliance procedures and regulations
• Familiarity with Entity Formation procedures
