Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

  • Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

    Requirements - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • High attention to detail

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • General familiarity with general ledger

  • Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Foundational knowledge in billing

  • Great Plains (GPAC) experience

  • Cash management experience highly desired

  • Command of Monthly Sales Tax

  • Strong familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
