Robert Half Plant Controller in Lubbock, Texas

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Plant Controller situated in Lubbock, Texas. The selected candidate will oversee all financial aspects for our location, including analysis, budgeting, accounting, pricing, receivables, and reporting. The successful candidate will also coordinate local compliance with policies and procedures and ensure cooperation with enterprise-wide functional departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute periodic plant financial analysis, identifying issues, opportunities, and action plans.

• Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and make decisions to increase efficiencies and create cost savings.

• Collaborate with GM and local leadership team to develop annual financial plans and periodic forecasts as needed.

• Ensure accountability of all inventories from receipt to usage, focusing on continuous improvement on waste reductions.

• Maintain adequate accounting system records, ensure timely completion of standard procedures, and consistently enhance controls and business solutions designed to mitigate financial risk.

• Manage a team across a broad range of functions including financial planning and analysis, plant and cost accounting, pricing, and Accounts Receivable.

• Exhibit values and ethics through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.

• Manage employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management.

• Maintain and promote positive employee relations in the work environment.

• Provide routine or ad hoc analysis and communicate with leadership regarding significant financial performance variances. Requirements • Proficiency in Month End Close procedures

• Demonstrated knowledge of Cost Accounting

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Tableau software

• Understanding of US GAAP standards

• Proficiency in using JDE EnterpriseOne

• Proven experience in budgeting processes

• Prior work experience in manufacturing plants
