Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in LYNBROOK, New York

Description Qualified candidates should be self-driven and organized accounting professionals capable of thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in this Bookkeeper role. We are in search of a determined Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation and audit. The clerical staff will report back to the Full Charge Bookkeeper. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Lynbrook, New York area. Apply immediately!

What you get to do every day

  • Govern monthly accounting close

  • Keep Accounts Payable up to date

  • Create cash flow projections, as needed

  • Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Business license and gross receipts coverage

  • Mark budget transfers

  • Supplementary assignments when necessary

  • Capable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Direct Accounts Receivable

  • Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Draw up subcontractor 1099'Microsoft, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Develop monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents Requirements - Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

    • 3+ years of related experience- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Adeptness in bank reconciliations

  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Vendor Payment

  • Billing Collection experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of billing

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • General familiarity with Vendor Payment

  • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Strong attention to detail
