Description
As an engineer, you will create and/or modify Microsoft 365 solutions to address organizational challenges. You will enable a dynamic, flexible, and inclusive workforce experience, empowering employees to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently by leveraging modern capabilities that foster collaboration, community, and effective communication across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining solutions.
Leading small engineering projects and contributing to larger initiatives.
Collaborating across departments to achieve optimal results for the organization.
Designing Microsoft 365 Solutions:
Use technical expertise to deliver solutions.
Work independently on projects aligning with software engineering strategies.
Design solutions within the M365 framework and related technologies.
Engage in low-level design for the product area.
Implementing Microsoft 365 Solutions:
Solve complex customer problems with independent, critical thinking.
Work both independently and collaboratively to develop core software.
Deliver dependable software that meets or exceeds expectations for stability, scalability, and resilience.
Continuous Learning:
Learn and apply new Microsoft 365 technologies, including MS Copilot.
Collaborate with the team to solve problems and remove roadblocks.
Engage in product planning, implementation, and support rotation.
Provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical field, or equivalent work experience.
5 to 7 years of engineering experience with Microsoft 365.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills
Active listening and the ability to answer questions effectively
Software experience: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, PowerShell, and PnP
Knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and practices
Understanding of systems design concepts that provide security and stability
Deep knowledge of operating systems and application development platforms
Debugging and troubleshooting complex code or log files
Understanding of application engineering concepts
Experience querying databases for data lookup and updates
Continuous improvement mindset
Adaptability and flexibility
Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Empathy and emotional intelligence
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in the insurance and/or financial industry
Familiarity with MS Viva suite, MS Forms, MS Copilot, DocuSign, GitHub Copilot, and Poppulo
