Robert Half HR Generalist in Madison, Wisconsin

Description This position is responsible for providing Human Resource (HR) support for assigned hotel properties. The HR Generalist will ensure that payroll, benefit, workman’s compensation, teammate development and relations are handled consistently, accurately, and efficiently. This position has the authority to use generally accepted HR policies, procedures, and strategies.

Human Resources:

  1. Processes and reviews payroll for assigned properties, including related payroll changes, reporting requirements and tasks for internal and external customers / vendors.

  2. Administers benefit programs to include enrollments, terminations, employee communication, and reporting.

  3. Serves as a point of contact for workplace injuries and the workers compensation benefit process.

  4. Supports Regional Managers and property leaders with teammate development opportunities, including the areas of recruitment, interviewing, on-boarding, training, development, recognition and separation.

  5. Supports Regional Managers and property leaders with teammate relations, such as leaves of absence, performance, terminations, disability accommodations, etc.

  6. Researches and recommends policies and procedures on payroll, benefits, worker’s compensation, teammate development and relations.

  7. Remains up to date on employment law changes and ensures RMC’s policies and procedures are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

  8. Researches and maintains payroll, wage and hour practices that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  9. Maintains compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to benefit programs, including ACA, COBRA and HIPAA.

  10. Identifies and gathers internal and external best practices related to the RMC Teammate Cycle: recruitment, interviewing, on-boarding, training, development, recognition and separation.

  11. Assists with overall HR responsibilities such as: communicating policies and procedures, training, promoting RMC rewards and recognition programs, and other HR based projects.

  12. As part of the larger HR team, the HR Generalist may develop into a subject matter expert in one or more of the following areas: payroll, benefit, workman’s compensation, teammate development and relations. Requirements
