Robert Half is currently recruiting for an HR Scheduler with a healthcare organization that runs independent living facilities in the area. This role will be the primary scheduler and HR Assistant at one of their locations in the Madison area. We are seeking a candidate who has experience scheduling within the healthcare industry and has familiarity with HR and/or is willing to be trained further in HR functions. This organization has a great mission and wants someone who would also believe in their mission and goal, and would be able to grow within the HR department too.

Experience in healthcare or service industry or at least two years managing the human resource function required, also:

  • The ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives policies and procedures of the Human Resources Department.

  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours (including on weekends) when necessary.

  • Solid understanding of both Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience and/or working knowledge of scheduling

    Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

  • Must posses the ability to make independent decisions, when circumstances warrant such action.

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

  • Must possess the ability to build relationships with the staff and develop those for both HR and Scheduling functions.

  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.

  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle challenging situations.

  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
