Robert Half Security Administrator in Madison, Wisconsin

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Security Administrator in Madison, Wisconsin. This role sits within the industry of network and security, where you'll be part of a growing unit focused on building a robust security structure.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and address security-related tickets and alerts that arise, ensuring a prompt and effective response.

• Review software purchases from a security perspective, assessing potential risks and the architectural compatibility.

• Contribute to the creation and modification of policies related to threat detection and management.

• Collaborate with peers in the development of procedures, fostering a cooperative and efficient team environment.

• Engage in a variety of daily projects, contributing your expertise to help manage the backlog of security-related tasks.

• Participate in new implementation projects, bringing your security knowledge to the forefront to ensure safe and effective practices.

• Drive security processes with end users, fostering understanding and building strong relationships for smooth operations.

• Utilize your knowledge of Cisco products, specifically in firewall technologies, to ensure secure network operations.

• Leverage your understanding of security frameworks and standards to make informed recommendations for the team.

• Maintain an invested interest in the field of cyber security, staying updated with current trends and knowledge to enhance your role as a Security Administrator. Requirements • Possess at least 5 years of experience in Security Administration or related field

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies and Firewall Technologies

• Holds a Cisco CCNP certification

• Experience with Cisco Firewall and Cisco Hardware

• Knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity strategy, standards, and compliance

• Proven expertise in Infrastructure Security and Information Security Management

• Ability to develop, implement, and maintain security protocols and procedures

• Strong analytical skills to identify security weaknesses and recommend improvements

• Excellent problem-solving abilities to rectify any security breaches or intrusions

• Strong understanding of emerging security trends and threat intelligence

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
