Job Title: Senior IT Security Engineer
Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)
Salary: $120-140k/year DOE
Job Summary:
Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Senior IT Security Engineer to join our client’s team and play a pivotal role in managing all cybersecurity aspects for them. As a lead specialist, you will be responsible for leading multiple security programs and mentoring other engineers. Your role will also involve implementing the security architecture, standards, and monitoring essential databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement enterprise security activities under the guidance of IT leadership.
Develop, maintain, and report on key security metrics.
Engage in the planning and design of the Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
Develop and manage comprehensive and targeted security awareness programs.
Conduct regular audits in connection with Compliance Team members.
Supervise the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of new and old security solutions.
Ensure that secured configurations and operations of all devices are properly maintained.
Participate in investigations and design appropriate resolutions to problematic activities.
Proactively monitor all security solutions to ensure their efficient operations.
Participate or lead vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
Requirements
Requirements:
On-call availability is required to respond to incident detection and security-related outages.
Experience with Security as a Service providers is desirable.
Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Experience with automation using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
Knowledge of Firewall, IDS/IPS, threat protection administration, and cloud security technologies.
Familiarity with CrowdStrike EDR, Spotlight, Logscale, Identity protection is valued.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ideal candidates will currently hold security certifications (CISSP, CISM, GSEC, etc).
