Description Robert Half Finance is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance firm. In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process Requirements

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting

  • Strong time management skills preferred

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of journal entries

  • Knowledge of Adjusting Journal Entries

  • Proven knowledge of Monthly Financial Statements

  • Well-founded grasp of financial auditing

  • Financial Statement experience

  • Month end closings experience

  • Financial statement preparation experience

  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Strong communication and social skills

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
