Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions is representing a leading organization that is seeking a Cost Accountant in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily focus on managing financial data, forecasting, spearheading new projects to enhance corporate value, and advancing our reporting capabilities. The position will also involve financial modeling, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly reporting and forecasting

• Manage financial data and spearhead new projects to enhance corporate value

• Advance the reporting capabilities and data used in making decisions

• Analyze and report budget vs. actual results

• Perform accounting and general ledger duties, including monthly close process

• Implement and manage accounting software systems

• Handle accounts payable and budget processes

• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to streamline accounting functions

• Conduct cost analysis and cost accounting

• Work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines.

Skills:

• At least 2 years of financial analysis or management accounting experience

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Strong systems background

• Experience with Budgeting and forecasting and financial modeling

• Accounting and general ledger experience

• Data management experience

• Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management and outside vendors

• Detail oriented, good at preparing and reviewing financial reports

• Experience with Cost analysis/Cost Accounting

• System implementation experience.

Requirements • Clear understanding of accounting functions and cost accounting

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CapEx and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• In-depth knowledge of Budget Processes and Cost Analysis

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role

• Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate complex financial data

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
