Financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting will be among your duties as Senior Accountant. Candidate must possess top-notch analytical skills. This full-time position includes solid compensation, good benefits, and the possibility to grow. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Service field and is located in Malibu, California.
Major responsibilities
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Monthly Financial Statements experience
Daily Cash Flow experience preferred
Cash Flow Analysis experience highly desired
Proficiency in Prepare Financial Statements
Practical knowledge of Real Estate Accounting
Bank reconciliations experience desired
Proven knowledge of Budget Processes
Well-founded grasp of budget forecasting
General familiarity with Real Estate Accounting
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Vow to meet business deadlines
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
ERP system experience
