Global Controller
A client of ours i the Malvern, PA area is looking for a Global Controller for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shared services, manufacturing, SAP systems, and a deep understanding of the monthly close process and technical accounting. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage global finance teams while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting.
Responsibilities of Global Controller
Lead and manage the global financial operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy and objectives.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across global entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and internal controls.
Collaborate with shared service centers to streamline financial operations, drive process improvements, and increase efficiency.
Oversee the integration and optimization of SAP financial modules to ensure accurate reporting and data consistency across all business units.
Work closely with the manufacturing division to understand and manage cost accounting, inventory control, and capital expenditure processes.
Prepare and present consolidated financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and manage internal and external audits.
Develop and mentor a global finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Global Controller
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
10+ years of relevant experience, including global finance management.
Extensive experience with SAP financial systems.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and technical accounting.
Proven experience managing shared services and manufacturing finance operations.
Expertise in the monthly close process and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Detailed experience consolidating results of a global corporation, including intercompany eliminations and accounting for foreign exchange
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
