Robert Half International Payroll Specialist in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

Description A company has partnered with Robert Half Finance and Accounting to find their next Payroll Administrator. The ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees, communicate effectively, and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. What you get to do every single day

  • Facilitate staff with general questions related to payroll, other pay related issues, wage deductions, PTO accruals, and fringe benefits

  • Meet current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting

  • Regulate quarterly and year-end payroll reports

  • Analyze data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave

  • Work in partnership Information Technology, Human Resources, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems

  • Reassure timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles

  • Analyze pay practices related to FLSA, fringe benefit reporting and other payroll areas and determine how those practices apply to advise management

  • Prepare systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data

  • Handle voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities

  • Manage regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger Requirements

  • Knowledge in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments

  • 3+ years of payroll experience

  • Prior experience with Liability

  • Wide ranging experience with Bonus Commision

  • Proficiency in payroll systems for 100-500 employees

  • Well-founded grasp of HR System

  • Previous experience working with Year-end Payroll

  • Earlier work involving Commision Functions

  • Comprehension of garnishments payroll

  • W3C Standards experience required

  • Solid understanding of general ledger

  • General familiarity with Compensation Administration

  • Solid understanding of Full Cycle Payroll

  • Payroll experience

  • Quality experience with bi-Monthly Payroll

  • Practical knowledge of compensation analysis

  • Skills in Garnishments

  • Foundational knowledge in multi-state payroll

  • Good understanding of Reimbursements

  • Solid understanding of W2

  • Proven knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

  • Hands-on experience with workers compensation

  • Experience with Paylocity

  • Experience with journal entries

  • Background in HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
