Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. As an Accountant, your primary role will involve maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, performing financial audits, and executing monthly closings.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
• Conduct financial audits to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain financial records meticulously, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and updated.
• Utilize Excel formulas for complex calculations and data analysis to support accounting tasks.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Execute monthly closings promptly, ensuring all financial data is correctly accounted for.
• Monitor financial records and reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other accounting team members to streamline processes and improve financial operations. Requirements
• Possess expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Audit - Financial is necessary
• Proficient in Excel Formulas
• Ability to maintain and manage Financial Records
• Familiarity with Journal Entries
• Capable of handling monthly closings
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
• Knowledge of accounting software and systems
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
