Description Growing Alaskan Native Government Contractor in northern VA is seeking a Senior Project Control Analyst (Program Finance) to join their team. The Senior Analyst will report to the Controller and work closely with Project Accountants and PM's. Responsibilities include: Responsible for overall company’s direct projects setup for T& M, FFP, and CPFF Federal Government Contracts in Deltek Costpoint. Setup new projects in accordance with the contract; participated in new project setup meetings to ensure project setup optimizes accounting software capabilities for project revenue, billing, and reporting utilizing DELTEK Costpoint and COGNOS. Review the detailed costs to ensure accuracy in recording; prepare correction forms for non-labor adjustments; coordinate with employees for required timesheets correction. Monitor contract funding and coordinate with project leaders and contract admins for required notifications on limitations and requests for additional funding or submitting the risk authorization as needed. Work with team members, to develop and support the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the project/task number structures and provide new ideas how to improve our project control processes and procedures. Support the Program Manager to successfully manage the cost, schedule, and performance of the contract. Develop plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program Participate in establishing and defining program plan requirements Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met Work closely with Project Managers in monthly forecasting and analyze variances to previous forecast and budget. Monitor and control costs to ensure costs stay within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Perform detailed reporting and analysis of monthly financial information, compare budget and actual costs incurred, perform thorough cost variance and trend analysis as well as proactively monitor and maintain accurate expenditures and financial swings from month to month. Government contracts experience
Expertise in Federal Government Contracts (T& M, FFP and CPFF)
Excellent problem-solving skills
4+ years of Government Contracting Program/Project Finance experience
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field is strongly preferred
-Preference for experience in a small to midsize government contractor
