Description

We are seeking an HR Specialist to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. The HR Specialist involves managing a full range of HR responsibilities within a 50-person company. The HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in putting together the employee handbook, recruiting, working with vendors for employee benefits, HR compliance, and handling employee relations. The HR Specialist role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The HR Specialist position will be working onsite in Manassas, VA and will need reliable transportation to get to work daily.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of HR tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

• Create and maintain employee handbooks that adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

• Develop comprehensive job descriptions to attract top talent.

• Handle the recruitment process, ensuring it is not heavily focused on any one area.

• Collaborate with vendors to organize and manage employee benefits.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR functions.

• Leverage HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems to manage HR data effectively.

• Use human resources software to streamline HR processes.

• Administer compensation and benefit functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Handle employee relations, resolving any issues or problems promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR Specialist role or similar

• Proven proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Familiarity with compliance regulations and hiring processes within the HR field

• Proficiency in HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems is required

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Knowledge of Human Resources Management System is essential

• Ability to use various human resources software

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
