Job Title: Senior Commercial Property Accountant
Location: Manassas, VA
Job Description:
The Senior Commercial Property Accountant will be responsible for providing detailed accounting services for our commercial real estate client. This role requires a high level of expertise in full cycle accounting, financial analysis, annual budgeting, and audits to assure accurate and timely work.
Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle property accounting including AP, AR, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and present financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Facilitate the audit process, by providing documentation and explanations to auditors.
Prepare annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Conduct regular financial analysis.
Prepare tenant reconciliations including CAM (Common Area Maintenance), property tax, and insurance.
Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing.
Coordinate with property managers to ensure all revenues and expenses are being accounted more precisely.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/finance/business related field
2+ Years of Commercial Real Estate Experience
GAAP Experience Required
Project Level and Development Experience Preferred
Fixed Asset Experience Preferred
Yardi experience is a must
Positive, Team-based, Go-Getter Attitude
Strong Communication Skills
