Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our team in the non-profit/social services industry. This role is based in Manchester, Connecticut, and involves a blend of on-site and remote work, depending on performance. As a Controller, you will be directly reporting to the CFO and supervising a team in the finance department.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the execution of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain financial records and processes
• Direct and manage the monthly closing procedures
• Oversee and manage budget processes to ensure financial stability
• Ensure compliance with regulations through regular auditing processes
• Utilize Blackbaud and other tools for financial management and reporting
• Leverage your knowledge of the healthcare and social services industry in your financial oversight
• Exercise strong leadership qualities in supervising and mentoring the finance team
• Ensure accurate controllership to maintain and present true and fair financial statements.

Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems to ensure efficient management of financial data.
• Familiarity with all Accounting Functions to maintain accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Knowledge of Auditing procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Understanding of Budget Processes to assist in the planning and forecasting of financial activities.
• Proven experience in Controllership roles to ensure effective management and control of company's financial resources.
• Familiarity with Health Care industry to understand the specific financial needs and regulations of this sector.
• Experience with HealthCare Provider financial management to handle the unique financial needs of healthcare providers.
• Proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage fundraising and donor activities.
• Experience with Blackbaud software for efficient management of non-profit financial activities.
