Job Title: Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (depending on experience)

Location: Greater Manchester, CT area

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant looking for their next step in their career and is hungry to grow & develop under the Controller in a highly visible role!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Ensure the completion and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliation as part of the month-end close process

  • Review and verify financial records, identifying and rectifying discrepancies and errors

  • Take ownership of the profit and loss statement, ensuring its accuracy and completeness

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to junior accountants to ensure smooth operations

  • Evaluate financial operations and recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and initiate improvements

  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Suggest strategies to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Higher qualifications such as a Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification will be highly appreciated.

  • 5+ years of experience in progressing accounting roles

  • Must have experience in Financial Statement Preparation and month-end procedures

  • Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
