Robert Half Systems Analyst in MANCHESTER, Connecticut
Description The ERP Systems Analyst will be supporting current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems while working to replace ad-hoc programs and processes with native ERP functionality. The ERP Systems Analyst will also focus on establishing synergy with various operational business units to amend and augment report capabilities inside ERP systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
Create/modify reports generated from ERP systems using appropriate report writing tools
Ability to manage Structured Query Language (SQL) databases
Work with the various site staff to perform a root cause analysis to identify existing issues
Support users within the ERP community
Integrate software components and third-party programs
Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
Analyze and test solutions and products before formal launch
Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications

3 years of experience developing and implementing software applications
Working knowledge of Report Writing tools (Crystal Reports/SSRS) including the ability to create new reports and modify existing reports
Knowledge of SQL, Oracle or Progress database query and administration
Self-starter that relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish individual and team goals – ability to work in a team environment or individually
Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
Attention to detail
Ability to learn new technology and ERP systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience working on large-scale software projects
Experience supplementing business’s data analytic and report needs.
BS/BA in Information Science Technology, Computer Science or a related field
5 years of experience developing and implementing software applications
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Access
Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or Visual Basic
Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor, Syteline, IFS, Profit Key)
Basic knowledge of or previous experience in a manufacturing environment Requirements Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
