Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Manchester, New Hampshire
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit Clerk in the Accounting industry in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States. This role involves handling invoices, preparing and processing daily bank deposits, and monitoring accounts receivable. You will be responsible for communicating with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and negotiating payment plans when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, review, and process incoming invoices
• Verify accuracy and completeness of invoices and ensure timely recording of them into the accounting system
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies or issues
• Prepare and process daily bank deposits and reconcile deposit slips with corresponding transactions
• Maintain accurate records of all deposits made
• Monitor accounts receivable aging report and contact customers for outstanding payments
• Follow up on past due accounts through phone calls and emails
• Negotiate payment plans when necessary
• Document all collection activities and update customer records accordingly
• Use skills in invoice handling, deposits, and collections to perform these responsibilities effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar.
• Proficiency in handling invoices, deposits, and collections.
• Strong understanding and application of general financial principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
• Proven problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
