Robert Half Collections Specialist in Manchester, New Hampshire

Description We are in search of a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team based in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role is central to our credit department, focusing on managing customer credit accounts and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role presents an opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work on-site once a week.

Responsibilities:

• Establish contact with customers to discuss their accounts and potential payment options.

• Provide effective support and guidance to customers regarding their billing and payment plans.

• Negotiate payment arrangements that are beneficial to both the customer and the company.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment agreements.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Collections, with a proven track record in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of collection processes, policies, and procedures.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle disputes and emergencies.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while handling sensitive information.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to collections.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information.

• Demonstrated resilience and persistence in pursuing outstanding debts.

• Willingness to continually update knowledge of industry trends and developments.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
