Robert Half Accounting Manager in Manhattan Beach, California


Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager to support our non-profit client on a special project designed to review and help streamline processes in and around clinical trials accounting. In order to be successful in this role you should possess the following attributes:

  • Must have experience managing the accounting for clinical trials. Experience with accruals, revenue (revenue recognition) accounting and working with CRO's.

  • Strong experience in US GAAP

  • Experience ensuring data accuracy and integration from specific trial data to centralized accounting system

Must have experience working in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and/or non-profit that specifically performs clinical trials.


  • Clinical Trial Operations experience required! Must have prior experience working for a contract research organization (CRO) or in one of the following industries: pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biopharma, or a non-profit that specifically performs clinical trials.

  • Experience with accruals, revenue (revenue recognition) accounting and working with CRO's.

  • Prior experience training and mentoring staff

  • Deep understanding of US GAAP in a management role

  • Experience using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/Financial Edge is a plus

  • Experience working with extracting large datasets into Excel for analysis; Advanced Excel

  • CPA Preferred
