Robert Half International Shipping Coordinator in Manhattan Beach, California

Description We are seeking an International Shipping Coordinator to join our retail sector located in Manhattan Beach, California. This role involves managing the administration and control of international shipments, including document processing, communication, payment presentations, and other financial transactions for all products produced by authorized manufacturers. This role offers a contract with potential for permanent employment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the invoicing, logistics, and shipping control of all international orders to ensure that sales goals are met and processed within the required timeframe.

• Review, print, and verify all shipping documents for factory direct shipments, ensuring accuracy between different systems.

• Address any pricing discrepancies with the finance team and document discrepancies with factories and international colleagues.

• Ensure that cargo receipts are correctly signed and dated within the required timeframe.

• Oversee the invoicing process for factory direct shipments and ensure the accuracy of each individual line for each factory commercial invoice.

• Prepare necessary paperwork, including instructions for transportation documents, certificates of origin, other certificates, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documentation associated with each shipment.

• Collaborate with various teams such as customer service, allocations, customs, finance, retail, and distribution centers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

• Maintain communication with international customers, forwarders, carriers, and truckers to process and expedite shipments.

• Review documentation for completion, monitor all shipment activity for timely arrival at destination, and create appropriate reporting tools to account for activity.

• Ensure all documents and finance presentations are sent to finance institutions and/or customers to secure payment for all shipments.

• Manage all filing associated with international shipments processed by the export logistics team. Requirements • Proven experience in International Shipping within the Retail industry.

• Proficiency in Logistics, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating.

• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, laws, and regulations internationally.

• Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, clients, and team members.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting shipping issues.

• Familiarity with computer software related to shipping and logistics.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and solve problems efficiently.

• Proficiency in English, additional languages would be an asset.
