Robert Half Global Controller in Maple Grove, Minnesota

Description We are looking for a Controller to lead our accounting and finance team based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The role involves managing all Controllers and the US General Ledgers, maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP guidelines for all affiliated entities. The Controller will also be expected to interface with outside CPA firms, lead the external audit process, and assist the CFO and Finance team with financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all Controllers and the US General Ledgers and Consolidation of the legal entities, both domestic & foreign

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP guidelines and internal finance policies for all affiliated entities

• Interface with outside CPA firm to coordinate annual tax filings & related requirements

• Lead the annual external audit process, in coordination with foreign auditors responsible for both local and U.S. GAAP requirements

• Assist CFO and Finance team with financial planning and analysis, and Board of Directors reporting

• Take ownership of the month-end close process globally, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and continual process improvement

• Provide oversight to ensure financial data are correct and timely. Maintain the integrity of financial systems and enhance system reporting and analysis capabilities

• Maintain a strong internal control environment in all areas

• Maintain and optimize current ERP systems and support new system initiatives

• Provide ERP system support to international accounting sites

• Initiate and drive operational improvements

• Ensure proper controls on Company investments or assets

• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled properly and show true financial position

• Support CFO and Director of FP& A in the day-to-day operations of the business as requested

• Assume other projects and assignments as directed by management Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar

• Expertise in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in DCAA and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong knowledge of Auditing and Budget Processes

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP

• Proven ability in Process Improvement and use of Epicor and Epicor ERP

• Background in Public Accounting and Manufacturing

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and International Accounting is advantageous

• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, and collaborate with various teams

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to make strategic decisions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; advanced degree or certification is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.
