Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Marfa, Texas
Description Do you want to become a Senior Accountant with a Non-Profit firm? If you have a background in accounting, Robert Half is looking for candidates like you. Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting are among the key responsibilities for this role. To be successful, candidates need to be highly adept at analytics and working in challenging, fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is based in Marfa, Texas with a company in the Non-Profit field. This position comes with solid compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities.
Your responsibilities in this role
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems
US GAAP experience desired
Command of non-profit fund accounting
Strong familiarity with grant accounting
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Skilled at time management
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
