Description

We are seeking a hands-on Applications Manager/Technical Project Manager (TPM) with expertise in DevOps and code writing. The ideal candidate will effectively lead a small dynamic team comprised of application programmers and web developers. You should have experience in .NET, Java, and iOS applications. This role is a contract to hire opportunity and will require 3 days onsite.

Your role will involve collaborating with interface teams to build high-quality interfaces. Proficiency working with Epic systems to facilitate smooth inter-system communication is essential.

As our TPM, you need to have a programmer mindset and be comfortable managing a diverse team. Your responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining a source code repository system, spearheading DevOps initiatives, and promoting cross-training among team members. We expect you to introduce innovative ideas into the setup and implementation of DevOps within our organization.

We require you to be well-versed in Agile management, following a structure of two-week project sprints. You need to be technically proficient, and assist with time and cost estimates for upcoming projects. You will be responsible for establishing and streamlining processes within the team and have a solid understanding of change management coupled with the ability to implement best practices.

Requirements

-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or similar

-4+ years of experience as a manager, supervisor, or project manager in a healthcare information technology environment having responsibility for one or more of the following areas: application support, development/programming, systems analysis, technical support, and network or server administration

-Experience with .NET, Java, iOS, EPIC, APIs, EDI, ETL, etc.

Management Responsibilities:

Your role will include leading, managing, supervising, and participating in the operational activities of the information systems work group, which may involve: application development, application support, end-user support, network/server administration, and systems security. Your duties will also encompass staff training, motivation, evaluation, and work delegation. You will manage assigned projects and budgets, oversee project performance and ensure compliance with established guidelines, maintaining the quality and timeliness of work performed. You will be expected to conduct research, prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations, and oversee the selection process for Requests for Proposals or Information (RFPs/RFIs). You would interpret data for reports, abstracts, and publications for consolidated output.
