Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's dynamic team in Maryville, TN. This is a contract-to-permanent position, ideal for a detail oriented with a strong background in accounts payable and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will handle heavy accounts payable duties, minimal accounts receivables ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage heavy accounts payable processes, including coding, matching invoices to purchase orders, and issuing payments. Print checks on a weekly basis, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds. Conduct heavy data implementation into software similar to SAP, maintaining data integrity and accuracy. Maintain regular contact with vendors, handle inquiries, and issue credits as necessary. Perform reconciliation tasks, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved. Code financial transactions to the general ledger, ensuring proper accounting treatment. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking, including performing V-lookups and creating detailed spreadsheets. Adapt to a fast-paced work environment, embracing change and demonstrating flexibility. Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in creating spreadsheets and using V-lookups. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions and team collaboration. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required. Familiarity with accounting software, especially systems similar to SAP, is highly desirable. Preferred Attributes:

Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Education:
