Robert Half Staff Accountant in Mason, Michigan

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in Mason, for a meticulous Staff Accountant. This role is instrumental in facilitating smooth financial operations across several companies, primarily handling bank reconciliation, overseeing payables, and generating end of month financial statements.

Responsibilities: • Distribute workload evenly to ensure seamless financial operations across 2-3 different companies • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records • Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure timely and accurate payment processing • Handle journal entries and general ledger maintenance to uphold accurate financial records • Generate end of month financial statements for review and decision-making purposes • Prepare quarterly financial reports to provide regular updates on the company's financial status • Conduct ad-hoc financial reports as per business requirements • Utilize Sage 300 for efficient financial management and reporting • Manage asset inventory to ensure accurate records • Accurately process payroll ensuring all employees are paid on time and correctly.

Skills required include Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payable (AP), Journal Entries, General Ledger, Sage 300, Microsoft Excel, and Asset Inventory. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Proven experience in Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Demonstrated skills in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.

• Experience with Journal Entries is necessary for this role.

• Should have working knowledge of General Ledger operations.

• Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are crucial.

• Should have experience in Asset Inventory management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data privacy standards.
