Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in MASON, Ohio

Description Robert Half is working with growing business to find a talented Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Your responsibilities

  • Generate recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

  • Administer exit interviews and procedures

  • Educate employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

  • Be present at interdepartmental meetings with other managers

  • Study compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

  • Build management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

  • Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

  • Lead all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

  • Evaluate reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

  • Be in charge of human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Be familiar with and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

  • Amplify the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices Requirements - Excellent communication and organizational skills (Bi-Lingual a Plus)

    • 3+ years of supervisory experience within human resources

    • Impeccable ethics, integrity, and standards

    • Past position in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

    • 5+ years in human resources

    • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

    • Ability to view issues with an objective lens

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar field

    • Strong organization skills

    • A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations

    • Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    • Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure

    • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
