Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Massillon, Ohio
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the food and food processing industry, located in Massillon, Ohio. The role is for an Accounts Payable Clerk, a critical part of our finance team, responsible for managing correspondence with vendors and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor reconciliation and respond to vendor inquiries
• Update and maintain payment information in the system
• Conduct research on credit holds and resolve them promptly
• Carry out other duties as assigned
• Work primarily in an ERP system, Outlook, and Excel
• Use skills such as Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP to perform tasks effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) is essential
• Experience with check runs and coding invoices is required
• Strong data entry skills are crucial for success in this role
• Must be adept at invoice processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Familiarity with Oracle software is an advantage
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
• Previous experience in the Food & Food Processing industry is an advantage
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
