Robert Half Procurement Analyst in Mattoon, Illinois
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Analyst in Mattoon, Illinois. In this role, you will compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of inventory materials, non-inventory materials, and commodity planning and services. You will act as the point person regarding materials and supplies that come into the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
• Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
• Compare supplier’s bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
• Enter daily receiving into the system and monitor in-house non-inventory supplies.
• Handle Kanban releases and perform buying duties when necessary.
• Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs and manage commodities as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
• Find opportunities to improve PPV by finding better suppliers in terms of cost, quality control, delivery, inventory turns, and reliability.
• Track commodities price trend and maintain records, and resolve purchasing problems between departments and vendors.
• Manage expediting on needed product and past due parts to meet production/operational needs.
• Work closely with other departments, i.e., production, purchasing, engineering, quality, customer service to ensure the completion of common goals.
• Assist department to coordinate all purchasing and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
• Negotiate Ekanban MOQ and lead times, calculate targeted inventory levels, and update item balance, Item Master files, and Kanban MRP files accordingly.
• Analyze data using Microsoft Excel to make effective reports and do pricing analysis for commodities.
• Plan purchased finished goods as assigned by the Purchasing Manager. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Procurement Analyst.
• Proficient in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and About Time software.
• Experience with Compliance, Documentation, and Materials Handling is desirable.
• Should be familiar with Office Functions and Data Analysis.
• Knowledge of Data Flow and Microsoft Syteline ERP is a plus.
• Should have experience in Management Systems.
• Exceptional skills in SyteLine software are preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred.
