Robert Half Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in Maumee, Ohio
Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the Medical Devices industry, based in MAUMEE, Ohio. This role provides the opportunity to handle customer credit applications, monitor credit accounts, and resolve credit inquiries. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department by maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and conduct necessary actions to collect delinquent payments
• Act as the primary liaison with various insurance payors including government and third-party payers
• Manage denial of claims and prepare and submit appeals with insurance companies
• Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of all outstanding claims through various modes of communication
• Review and analyze the accounts receivable aging report daily and perform collection-related activities
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and process credit card payments and credits
• Ensure all accounts receivable notes are accurate, clear, and concise
• Handle incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing and respond to inquiries promptly
• Navigate and use various databases and applications to maintain records and generate reports
• Assist in the development of policy and procedures for the accounting department
• Utilize multiple software programs for performing accounts receivable specialist duties like Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP. Requirements • Applicant must possess skills in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management is required
• Experience with Billing processes and software is necessary
• Familiarity with Cash Applications and Cash Collections is expected
• Commercial Collections experience is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis
• Knowledge of Oracle for database management
• Experience with QuickBooks for accounting purposes
• Familiarity with SAP for business process management in the medical devices industry
• Must be able to work in a team environment and independently as well
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is necessary
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Previous experience in the medical devices industry is a plus but not mandatory.
