Your responsibilities
Discern and establish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Boost accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Maintain implementation and insure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Supplementary duties as assigned
Well-developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Devise relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, the monthly flash report, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Scan and conceive Ad Hoc financial reports
Contribute to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment
Gather a number of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Provide assistance to the accounting team during the closing process to make certain deadlines are met
Pitch in to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Backfill for Controller where appropriate
Provide regular account reconciliation to completion Requirements - 7+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
CPA certification a plus
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Complete understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Deep understanding of Monthly Account Reconciliation
Adeptness in Monthly Financial Reporting
General familiarity with SAP Modules
Knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
Manufacturing Company experience highly valued
Previous experience working with CPA
Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) experience highly preferred
Good understanding of Standard Costing
Month-end Close Activities experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Financial Statements
Earlier work involving Manufacturing Cost Accounting
Practical knowledge of cost accounting
Background working with Job Cost
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Monthly Consolidation experience
