Description

Robert Half is seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst to join our dynamic client in the Greater Virginia area. This Corporate Financial Analyst role involves supporting our corporate forecasting function, maintaining profit and loss statements, and developing financial models to provide detailed insights into our financial results. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business performance drivers, their impact on financial statements, and the ability to communicate key takeaways to finance leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the corporate forecasting function to provide in-depth insights into quarterly and annual financial outcomes.

  • Ensure the accuracy of data in the monthly profit and loss (P& L) statement model.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the drivers of business performance and their effects on the financial statements.

  • Effectively communicate crucial findings to the finance leadership team.

  • Apply strong Excel capabilities and modeling proficiency to upkeep and develop financial models as needed.

  • Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of customer credit applications.

  • Oversee customer credit accounts and initiate suitable measures to recover overdue payments.

  • Competently employ a variety of accounting software, ERP systems, and financial tools to fulfill job duties.

Requirements

The ideal Corporate Financial Analyst candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Corporate Financial Analyst position include and are not limited to:

  • 2+ years of experience in corporate financial planning and analysis (FP& A), GovCon FP& A, or investment banking

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for financial modeling

  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint for executive-level presentations

  • Knowledge of three core financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, and the linkages between them

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
