Robert Half Help Desk Manager in Mcallen, Texas

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the financial services industry located in McAllen, Texas, 78504, United States. The role involves leading our help desk team in providing first-line support to bank employees, troubleshooting complex computer end-user issues, and managing various hardware and software problems.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the Help Desk support personnel to ensure efficient operation and top-quality service.

• Assisting the help desk personnel with various hardware and software problems, network support, and password issues for end users.

• Following up with internal customers to ensure the satisfactory completion of Help Desk calls.

• Documenting and maintaining a record of Help Desk calls in the incident management database.

• Managing the hiring, daily activities, coaching, evaluating, and counseling of reporting staff.

• Overseeing the Items Processing personnel to ensure efficient operation, quality service, and timely completion of all customer presentments, statements, and notices.

• Apprising the IT Operations regarding the department's operational status.

• Maintaining compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive customer information.

• Keeping current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy.

• Maintaining current knowledge and compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations.

• Maintaining current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/must be eligible to work in the U.S. Patriot Act/CIP/AML.

Skills required include Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Microsoft, Networking, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, and Deskside Support. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Help Desk Manager role within the Financial Services industry

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies, Database, and EO/IR systems

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and Networking

• Proven experience with Active Directory

• Ability to troubleshoot and manage Computer Hardware

• Familiarity with Configuration Management best practices

• Experience in Deployments and Deskside Support is essential

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Strong customer service orientation

• Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
