Robert Half Staff accountant in Mckinney, Texas
Description We are looking to engage a meticulous Staff Accountant for our team in McKinney, Texas. The primary role of this position involves utilizing SAP skills to handle various accounting tasks. This is a contract role that offers an exciting opportunity to work within the telecom provider industry.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular ledger processing and reconcile accounts as necessary.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Aid in the preparation of budget forecasts.
• Participate in tax audits and payroll.
• Prepare financial statements in time.
• Handle monthly payroll using accounting software.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Requirements
Proficiency in using accounting software, specifically SAP. (A MUST WITHIN LAST 2 YEARS)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role within the Accounting field.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to meet strict deadlines.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred but not required.
