Description
Robert Half is looking for an ambitious Controller to join a growing financial services company in the alternative energy space. The leadership position is responsible for all of accounting and supervising a Senior Accountant. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. In the Controller position you will oversee the accounting operations of the company fulfilling specific responsibilities customary for the role of Controller. In addition, you will be responsible for working with other team members of the company on general matters that help promote the success of the business. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work collaboratively with the COO and other company leaders.
Your responsibilities:
Control day-to-day accounting
Manage monthly and annual reporting
Manage consolidation of investments and tax reporting
Manage financial forecasting and long-range financial planning
Supervise accounting staff (small team)
Oversee cash management
Maintain working relationships with professional providers: banking, auditing, tax, insurance, benefits, retirement plan, IT, and Cybersecurity
Oversee finance related-HR functions and various other HR and benefits activity
Support the investment and asset management teams on information flows related to investment flows/timing and their valuation of assets
Support fundraising and investor relations efforts as it relates to providing financials and forecasts
