Robert Half Lead Platform Architect in Mclean, Virginia
Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Platform Architect to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis. In this pivotal role, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of our enterprise architecture, adhering to our standards and strategy across business application product integration, data, and infrastructure architectures. This position is fully remote and offers the possibility of an extension based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, implement, configure, and manage the platform architecture.
Demonstrate expertise in AWS Cloud components and SRE tools such as Datadog, Splunk, etc.
Manage multiple Kubernetes clusters effectively.
Collaborate with various teams including platform architecture, DevOps, and cloud network to align projects with enterprise goals.
Oversee platform development, deployment, and operations ensuring robust platform-based technical application and system development.
Day in the Life:
You will be working closely with different teams, handling tickets, and leveraging tools like Splunk and Datadog to facilitate project execution and collaboration across departments.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 6-10 years of relevant experience in platform architecture with a strong background in DevOps.
Extensive experience building complex systems and understanding their deployment.
Proficient in managing AWS Cloud components and familiar with SRE tools (Splunk, Jira, etc.).
Proven track record in managing Kubernetes clusters.
Education/Certifications:
Relevant certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or similar technologies will be an advantage.
