Description
We are actively seeking strong Sales and Business Development professionals with Telecommunications industry experience for an exciting, newly created Director search! The Sales and Membership Director opportunity we are working on is an exciting senior level position working directly with the Association's current members, as well as working directly with senior leadership in business expansion efforts and strategic involvements related to business and revenue growth in upcoming years. As a 20+ year established Association, our clients are focused specifically in the Telecommunications industry by working with and assisting small and large corporations throughout the US in their product compliance and services assisting them in achieving FCC approvals. We are seeking a savvy and hands on Sales and Membership Director who is comfortable taking qualified leads, securing the previous or newly acquired member, and selling them on a multitude of services, both professional services and IT based solution services. Hands on responsibilities will include:
Work with and develop relationships with existing members to understand their needs and encourage them to purchase additional services – including FCC data reporting and license management, sponsorships and advertising, and other member services – to help the member improve their own sales efforts and protect their wireless system resources as well as their customers.
Hone existing processes and develop new sources and methods to sell memberships and services to prospects.
Maintain lead tracking and sales records in accordance with best practices, provide feedback to management on sales activities and successes, and provide recommendations to set, achieve, and surpass sales goals.
Ensure new member satisfaction by generating periodic member contact and collaborating with internal subject matter experts and employees who provide the services.
Prepare and deliver presentations about EWA membership, services, and advocacy, and additionally represent The Association at 5-7 industry trade shows via exhibit and networking events.
Assist with marketing and advertising campaigns, as required to assist with sales goal fulfillment.
This includes, but is not limited to, campaign plan development, event planning and event attendance; and proposing any new collateral.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of cumulative sales experience selling services in a quota-driven environment with verifiable results.
Experience with or understanding of advertising, trade association memberships, and/or wireless telecommunications is a must
Measurable success developing and executing sales strategies that positively impact the bottom line of an organization is essential. Must be able to build, engage and foster positive collaborative relationships with all stakeholders including senior management, volunteer leadership, and supporting external organizations.
Thorough understanding of consultative sales principles and a disposition that is enthusiastic, positive, confident, creative, curious, thick-skinned, and independent. Should be assertive, a good listener, polite, and results-oriented.
Creative, proactive, adaptive, consultative, entrepreneurial, patient, flexible, high-energy, success-oriented, and out–of-the-box thinking are indispensable traits for the successful candidate.
Excellent writing (grammar, punctuation), verbal communications, and presentation skills.
Ability to speak with prospects and customers on the phone for the majority of the day. Will have attention to detail for tracking leads and follow up.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability and aptitude for solo or shared booth duty at events. Director must be able to set up and tear down a booth on their own and be on their feet for many hours at a time.
Independence and self-sufficiency, as most EWA positions have no or limited administrative support. This position will rely on existing marketing and membership department staff to develop campaigns and materials, fulfill new sales, and manage and train new members and clients.
